ENGC2200 Engineering CAD Technology Internship

The student will receive 40 hours of on-site instruction in the drafting department of a `host` company for each creditfor which he/she has registered. The student may register for 3 or 4 credits. The student will work in an industrial drafting environment on learning objectives mutually agreed to by instructors and a host-business. The student is responsible for finding and setting up the internship position prior to registering for the course. Student performance will be monitored by the instructor and evaluated by the employer.

Instructor approval and prior completion of 50 percent of the Engineering CAD Technology program and an internship position in a host company

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
