ACCT1125 Excel

This course is designed to give the student knowledge of the creation and use of spreadsheets in business. The student will learn basic data manipulation and printing including formulas, what-if analyses, charts, sorts, and extraction.

Qualifying score on computer literacy assessment test OR CPLT1100 or CPLT1200 or ITEC1035 or ITEC1080

Learning Outcomes

The following outcomes will be addressed in the course:
Create an Excel spreadsheet
Create a variety of charts
Create formulas in an Excel spreadsheet
Save and print worksheets and charts
Display and print the formulas in a worksheet
Perform "what if" analyses
Manipulate cells, rows, and columns in an Excel spreadsheet
Demonstrate use of web tools and processes in an Excel spreadsheet
Modify and sort data in an Excel database

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
