PLBG1016 Building Sewers and Drain Systems

This course covers practical experience in the installation of sewers, drain, waste and vent piping by laying out pipe, using a builder's level to establish grade and elevations of the piping, and in a safe and efficient manner. Students will learn the proper installation of plastic and cast iron sewers, drain, waste and vent pipe.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
