ITEC2910 Artificial Intelligence with Python

This course is an overview of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and techniques to include classic topics such as AI algorithms, machine learning (ML) and neural networks. Applying AI/ML principles, students will develop a software application to demonstrate such concepts.

Describe artificial intelligence (AI) concepts
Demonstrate AI algorithms
Identify a problem where AI algorithm is applicable
Apply a selected AI technique
Describe a system using AI techniques
List machine learning (ML) algorithms
Apply AI algorithms
List neural network algorithms
Demonstrate neural network techniques
Illustrate deep learning algorithms
Compare ML algorithms
Apply AI concepts using available software tools

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE).  Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.  Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
