ENHS1020 Hazard Recognition and Control

This course will address hazard recognition in both construction and industrial environments. Common engineering practices and procedures to remedy these hazards will be examined. New technology will be evaluated relative to safety hazard control. Students will be exposed to real life situations and required to formulate solutions to protect workers and resources.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
