FRPT2105 Fire Instructor II

This course is designed to provide individuals entering into situations which require planning for teaching or instructing with some of the advanced skills necessary to oversee a classroom or drill ground setting. The student will learn the role of the instructor, to identify various learning styles and develop instructional materials, and will demonstrate the ability to deliver instruction and evaluate student learning.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Course Credits section of this syllabus for the credit breakdown.
