ITEC2520 Software Security Assurance
In this course students will study secure Software Development Life Cycle (secure SDLC) methodologies to integrate security testing across the development cycle. Students will learn to implement secure coding practices that align with software security assurance principles. Topics include secure application design, DevOps (software development and IT operations), cryptography, and secure software testing using an Agile project-based approach.

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
