FLPW1191 Hydraulic Components
This course is an in-depth study of hydraulic components. Through hands-on experience, students will setup and run operational testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic components. Pressure control valve, direction control valves and flow control valves will be emphasized in this course.

Setup and run pressure control valve operational tests
Describe various flow control valves

Setup and run flow control valve operational tests

Setup and run directional control valve operational tests
Compare test results with manufacture specifications
Demonstrate shop safety practices

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
