FLPW1320 Hydraulic Circuits
This course is an introduction to industrial and mobile hydraulic circuits. Student will construct operational tests from given schematics. The construction and operation of circuits will provide a hands-on experience in troubleshooting, and analyzing of electro-hydraulic machines and construction equipment. Routine preventative maintenance will also be discussed.

Identify hydraulic symbols
Construct industrial hydraulic circuits
Setup and test various industrial hydraulic circuits
Troubleshoot various industrial hydraulic circuits
Construct mobile hydraulic circuits
Setup and test various mobile hydraulic circuits
Troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic circuits
Demonstrate shop safety practices

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
