MMVP2600 Digital Post Production
In this application software course, students will be exposed to non-linear editing skills. Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Audition, and dynamic linking will be used to create digital special effects, color correction, titles, animation, and audio tracks. Students will integrate these elements into finished video productions.
Prerequisite
Recommended:
MMVP1600 with a grade of "C" or better, qualifying score on computer literacy assessment test OR
CPLT1100 or
CPLT1200, or instructor approval

Learning Outcomes
The following outcomes will be addressed in the course:
Identify the various keystrokes used during non-linear editing
Identify nonlinear editing systems software
Demonstrate importing video footage and/or still photo techniques
Demonstrate video clip placement on the timeline sequencer
Export the final output of the Adobe Premiere Pro to a Digital Format
Create video sample from footage provided on the Adobe Premiere Pro
Create video sample from footage provided on the Adobe Premiere Pro
Demonstrate file management on the Adobe Premiere Pro
Demonstrate the use of still images in the non-linear digital environment
Demonstrate the use of special effects
Demonstrate the use of titling
Demonstrate the use of transitions in non-linear editing
Demonstrate the lighting techniques used in various environments
Create projects with Color Correction in Adobe Premiere Pro

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
