HVAC2050 Electrical for Commercial HVAC&R Equipment

This course introduces the concepts and principles of three phase power and line voltage control and the controllers. Motor wiring techniques are also included in this primarily lecture course.

Draw control circuits and three phase circuits
Wire control circuits andthree phase circuits
Troubleshoot control circuits and three phase circuits
Troubleshoot motor contactors
Troubleshoot overloads
Troubleshoot starters

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
