This course will introduce the fundamentals of creating exciting animations and compelling interactive projects using Adobe Flash.

Learning Outcomes

The following outcomes will be addressed in the course:
Create artwork assets with software tools
Create artwork assets with imported bitmaps
Incorporate audio into projects
Develop frame based animation
Create animations using tweens
Utilize inverse kinematics to control animations
Create motion presets
Create interactive buttons
Utilize ActionScript to add interactivity
Develop techniques to optimize project assets
Produce animated and interactive projects

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
