BUSN1225 Principles of Cost and Risk Management

This course covers the fundamentals of managing costs and assessing financial risks in project and business environments. The course emphasizes effective strategies for cost control, risk mitigation, and informed decision-making. Students will examine various methodologies for analyzing costs, forecasting financial outcomes, and identifying potential risks that could impact project success. Emphasis is placed on developing a comprehensive understanding of cost management frameworks and risk assessment models used across industries.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE).  Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.  Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
