FLPW2350 Hydraulic Specialist Certification Review

This two-credit course is designed to prepare and review for the International Fluid Power Society Hydraulic Specialist Certification test.  There will be a study guide with many practice problems to solve along with lecture time.  It is intended for an individual who has two years of technical training or adequate industrial experience.  Areas to be covered will include individual hydraulic components, proportional and servo valves, physics, circuit design, troubleshooting, instrumentation, electricity and conductors.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
