HVAC1071 Gas Heat Systems

This course will provide the student with the skills needed for combustion and efficiency testing, troubleshooting, and good ventilation practices involved with warm air heating systems. This course will cover the characteristics of hazardous wastes and its safe handling, storage, and disposal.

Compare LP/Natural gas pressures
Adjust gas pressures

Calculate furnace heat using air flow

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
