MACH2420 Blueprint Reading II for Machinists
This course is a continuation of Blueprint Reading I. Enhancing machinists and inspectors blueprint reading skills will be emphasized. An introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing will be covered along with other advanced blueprint reading skills.

Evaluate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing call outs
Identify screw thread symbols
Identify steel coding system
Interpret casting drawings

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
