BUSN2210 Talent Recruitment and Selection

This course will explore the fundamentals of effective recruitment and selection, to help students develop practical skills to attract and hire quality candidates. It will address how to create appealing job postings and develop a positive employer brand that draws in potential employees. Students will discover techniques for workforce planning and explore methods to transform job requirements into clear position descriptions. The course investigates various selection tools, helping students develop evaluation skills to ensure fairness and effectiveness. Students will examine approaches to creating hiring processes that support diversity and investigate various interviewing methodologies. It will address strategies for welcoming new employees into their roles effectively.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE).  Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.  Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
