NURS2350 Nursing Clinical III
This course provides the learner an opportunity to apply nursing judgment using the nursing process to implement safe, client/relationship centered care. The clinical focuses on assessments, collecting data, implementing learned skills, medication administration, nursing treatments, and documenting findings.

Learning Outcomes
The following outcomes will be addressed in the course:
Demonstrate therapeutic communication when using the nursing process while providing culturally sensitive patient care across the lifespan and in various health care settings
Demonstrate safe nursing practice when performing assessments and nursing cares with clients
Apply evidence-based nursing judgment when prioritizing client care, including reporting findings to the appropriate interprofessional team member
Utilize client identifiers and the rights of medications in administration of medication
Utilize appropriate documentation for provision and outcomes of client care

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
