ARCH1002 Introduction to Architectural Technology (On Hold)

This course will introduce the student to the basic skills needed to design and produce construction drawings. Topics covered will include architectural drawing standards, dimensioning and annotation practices, drawing set components and terminology. Using AutoCad software, students will apply this knowledge to the creation of a set of construction drawings for a single story residence.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE).  Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.  Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
