ARET1160 Packaging Machinery Systems - Replaced by ARET1161
In this course students will set-up and troubleshoot packaging machines. Included are manual and automatic cartoners, strappers, case wrappers, and bag closing machines. The basic principles of packaging machinery and materials will be discussed. This course will cover the characteristics of hazardous wastes and its safe handling, storage, and disposal.

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
