MGDP1235 Fundamentals of Digital Imaging (Delete - May 2021)
This course is designed to give the learner the best possible solutions to their digital design projects. The student will use a scanner and digital camera to acquire images into Photoshop. Once in Photoshop, the student will learn how the image interacts with resolution, image size, pixel dimension, color modes, enhancement tools, and digital output. Included in the coursework is terminology, evaluation of images, acquisition of images, image tonal correction, image transport, and file formats.

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
