NURS2600 NCLEX - PN Review (On Hold)
This course is designed for the practical nursing student preparing to take the NCLEX-PN. The focus is on reviewing nursing knowledge. Content includes a review of the following: body systems in health and disease; health promotion and maintenance from infancy through adulthood, pharmacology, strategies which promote a safe and effective nursing care environment and maintaining psychosocial integrity.

Learning Outcomes
The following outcomes will be addressed in the course:
Examine pathophysiology of the body
Determine health promotion through the lifespan
Determine health maintenance through the lifespan
Analyze pharmacological interventions for body system disorders
Summarize strategies which promote safe nursing care
Summarize strategies which promote effective nursing care
Differentiate psychosocial interventions

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
