CULA2175 Culinary Internship - "On Hold" - August 2020
This course allows the student to gain on-the-job experience in the Culinary industry. The student is responsible for locating and arranging the internship site. One (1) to four (4) credits can be taken, with each credit requiring 40 hours of time spent on the job. Student performance will be monitored by the instructor and evaluated by the employer. This will be a cooperative training program between Hennepin Technical College and a company. The student will apply competencies learned in the program to an employment-like work experience. Tasks and course goals will be determined by the instructor and the job site supervisor on an individual student basis. All industry internships require you be registered at the college for the internship and have instructor approval.

Instructor approval and completion of at least 75% of your degree or diploma

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals. Refer to the Credit Details section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
