CBTG2532 CNC Router Operation - Deleted Summer 2024

This course will cover basic programming techniques, setup, operation and maintenance of CNC woodworking routers. Basic manual code creation, controller manipulation, maintenance, tooling, machine orientation and hands on part manufacturing will be presented. Specific parts will be programmed and machined.

Conduct machine startup techniques
Conduct tool height offset operations
Conduct tool diameter offset operations
Perform program loading procedures and editing
Complete different types of fixturing
Manipulate fanuc controller operations
Complete machine setup and run programs
Edit programs
Assess programs and part quality

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
