SOCI2110 Social Problems (On Hold) - Changed to: SOCI1300
This course is an examination of social problems from a critical perspective with emphasis on cause, conditions, consequences, and alternative methods of intervention.
Prerequisite
Qualifying score on reading assessment test OR
ENGL0921 and Qualifying score on writing assessment test OR
ENGL0930. Basic computer skills recommended.
Course Requirements and Evaluation
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
