CCIS1032 Microsoft Access
This course covers the basic functions of a database management package as applied to business applications. These basic functions include how to create and secure a database, import data and maintain records in a table, query a database, produce forms, and generate reports. In addition, students learn how to perform mass changes, export data to other applications, create macros and design a menu system.
Prerequisite
Qualifying score on computer literacy assessment test OR
CPLT1100 or
CPLT1200 or instructor approval

Course Scheduling
The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty two hours for each lab credit and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE). Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.
